Delivery Options

100% Face-to-Face Delivery
This option provides a comprehensive, in-person training experience with no pre-course learning, online assessments, or paperwork required. You will complete the entire course in one day, with up to 8 hours of hands-on training, first aid role-play scenarios, and practical assessments.

Online Learning & Face-to-Face Practical Assessment
For those looking for a more flexible option, our online learning and face-to-face assessment method reduces the in-person time to just 3 hours. This option requires participants to complete the online learning component beforehand, which is self-paced and can be completed at your convenience. The online learning takes up to 5 hours, after which you will attend a practical assessment session.

What Will You Learn?
In this comprehensive course, participants will gain the skills needed to provide first aid in a range of emergency situations, including:

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Dealing with medical emergencies such as allergic reactions, asthma attacks, and heart attacks

Managing injuries, including burns, fractures, and bleeding
-
Handling unconscious and breathing or non-breathing casualties
-
Performing safe lifting and moving of casualties
-
Using first aid kits effectively
Participants will leave with the knowledge and confidence to act quickly in a real emergency situation.
The course covers assessing the casualty, providing safety, accessing emergency services, and using resources to provide first aid, such as providing CPR and using a defibrillator, administering an autoinjector for anaphylaxis, administering asthma medication, assisting someone choking, using appropriate immobilisation techniques for envenomation, fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains, managing casualties with non-life-threatening bleeding and shock.
You will learn basic anatomy, physiology and the differences between adults, children and infants relating to CPR, the importance of the chain of survival, written and verbal reporting of incident details, reviewing incidents to improve own skills and response times, to recognise psychological impacts, and seeking help as required.

First Aid Training courses will consist of two parts:

After participants complete all pre-course work and are deemed competent during their assessment:

Certificate sent to participant via email & USI record updated

Certificates available for download on your Client Portal

The participants organisation will receive all certificates for streamlined administrative purposes

Automatic reminders are sent when staff certificates are due to expire, streamlining the process for refresher training
